Laying the Foundation for Total Health

A qualified doctor will sit down with you and discuss your health history and do a complete consultation, then perform a chiropractic examination including orthopedic and neurologic testing. If X-rays or other diagnostic tests are necessary they will be done at that time. Usually we will begin passive therapy on the first visit. You may or may not get adjusted on your first visit, depending on the severity of your symptoms and what we find on the examination and X-rays. The first visit usually takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour.

We most likely will have you come back for a second visit for your report of findings. We like to take enough time to review all of your findings and come up with a proper diagnosis, then put together a treatment plan that will most effectively treat your condition. We will explain to you what the problem is so you understand why you are having pain and we will explain what can be done to treat or fix the problem. If it is something that we feel we can not treat with a high level of success, we will refer you out to the appropriate doctor who can help you.

Elite Chiropractic & Wellness Centers 3 Phases of Care
Phase 1: Relief Care

If you are in pain when you come into Elite Chiropractic & Wellness Center, our first objective is to help you reduce pain and start feeling better as soon as possible. Depending on the severity of the underlying condition which is causing your pain, it is typical for a patient to need chiropractic care or adjustments 2-3 times per week for 2-4 weeks.

Phase 2: Corrective/Restorative Care

If you choose to continue treatment with the corrective phase of chiropractic care, muscles and other tissues are allowed to heal more completely, which helps prevent further injury or pain. The goal of corrective or restorative chiropractic care is to help bring your body back to 100%. It is possible to make changes in the structure of the spine, it is just not a quick or easy fix but can be a more lengthy process. It is typical to need chiropractic care or adjustments about 4-8 times per month for 3-6 months, depending on your overall health and the severity of your problem.

Phase 3: Wellness Care

Once your body has fully healed and you are no longer experiencing back pain or other pain symptoms, it is important to come in for periodic chiropractic adjustments to avoid further problems in the future. Usually, this phase of chiropractic care only requires a quick visit to the chiropractor 1-2 times per month, based on your lifestyle and goals.
